Spring Equinox brings day and night into perfect balance, invites light back into everyday life, and reminds us to be present. Spring softens the edges of change and reminds us to renew, rebalance, and rejuvenate. So does our yoga practice when we let it show us our strength, balance, and vitality. This Spring equinox yoga practice will help twist out any stagnant energies, and bring openness to your body and mind. Suitable for all yoga levels, beginners welcome.

Earth Day Yoga | Monday, April 22, 2024, 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm | Vineyard Deck
This Earth Day, tap into the healing power of nature during this gentle yoga session while surrounded by rolling hills, stunning vineyards and oak trees on the vineyard deck. Celebrate Mother Earth in love and gratitude with instructor Terri Alba. All levels welcome. Yoga mats will be provided.

Experience the serenity of the Summer Solstice with a yoga class on the picturesque vineyard deck. Let the warmth of the sun energize your practice and connect your to the rhythms of the season. This class offers a unique opportunity to celebrate the longest day of the year amidst the lush vineyards, gentle breezes, and the soothing sounds of nature as your backdrop.

$20 for visitors. All levels are welcome. Please note classes are limited to 14 people, 16 years old or above. Complimentary to registered overnight guests of the resort. Please email us at spaconcierge@meritageresort.com to be added to the list for your upcoming stay. All classes are powered by Alo Moves. The Meritage Resort and Spa is working closely with the Napa County and California State authorities to adhere to strict social distancing and sanitization protocols.
Mat Pilates | Saturday, 9:45 am - 10:35 am
Pilates is a form of low-impact exercise that aims to strengthen and stabilize your core body, which is your foundation, so that you can move efficiently while improving your posture, flexibility, and mobility. This class is held in the Motion Studio.
Vineyard Yoga Hikes | Saturday and Sunday, 8:30 am - 9:20 am | Sunday, March 24 9:45 am - 10:35 am
Join us for a hike through our hillside vineyards on Saturday mornings. This class is the perfect blend of endurance, strength, flexibility and balance. Enjoy a 1.5 mile hike through the Vineyard ending at the “Crusher” Statue atop the hill (great for a photo op). Then trek down to our Vineyard Deck while taking in the panoramic views of Napa Valley. Here you will participate in a few sun salutations, stretching exercises, breathwork, and meditation. A great way to start your day. Please wear running/walking shoes and layered clothing to your comfort. Yoga mats will not be used for this activity. We will meet at the Spa Cave entrance.

This class will increase your heart rate while minimizing the amount of stress and impact you put on your body. You will feel the intensity effects of a HIIT workout with a gentler approach that is easier on the body. Burn calories, get your heart pumping and enjoy this perfect mix of power and grace.

Recommended for those who have a good understanding of the fundamental principles of alignment within individual postures, this session connects multiple postures through breath and movement. Designed to relieve stress and connect one with the authentic self to bring more ease and vitality.
If music inspires you to move, you will love this personal session with our dance instructor. Choose the style that interests you—ballroom, modern, ballet, jazz, or Latin—and dance your cares away.
A blend of moving meditations and relaxing restorative poses (typically done on the floor) to help the body release stress and tension. Restorative poses are an important part of a long-term yoga practice, helping to recharge energy reserves, heal the body from stress and bring the nervous system to a more balanced state.

Specifically, for those new to yoga, this class introduces the fundamentals of a yoga practice—breath, awareness, proper alignment, and mindfulness practice. Also, an excellent choice for those working around injuries or for longtime yoga students looking to refine their practice.
Meditation is the simple and direct practice of moment-to-moment mindfulness. With careful and sustained observation and proper breathing techniques, we can experience the ever-changing flow of the mind-body process to cultivate awareness and learn to accept more fully the pleasure and pain, fear and joy, sadness and happiness that are inevitable in life.
